Wikileaks founder Julian Assange did an exclusive interview with Fox News host Sean Hannity, and the left isn’t going to like what he had to say.
Assange, who’s been living in exile in the Ecuadorian embassy in London, was responsible for publishing thousands of leaked emails from the DNC and Hillary Clinton’s campaign chair John Podesta. The Obama administration has since said Russia is behind the initial attacks that led to the leaks, but according to Assange that’s not the case at all.
In fact, according to the Daily Mail, Assange says he’s “1,000 percent confident” that emails didn’t come from the Russians, and that Obama is “trying to delegitimize the Trump administration” by blaming our foreign adversaries.
“We can say, we have said, repeatedly that over the last two months that our source is not the Russian government and it is not a state party,” Assange told Hannity. “Our publications had wide uptake by the American people, they’re all true. But that’s not the allegation that’s being presented by the Obama White House.”
Indeed. To date, not a soul has disputed the authenticity of the emails. In fact, those crying loudest about them have pointed to their source as the reason they should have been disregarded, as if the American people shouldn’t know the truth about who they’re voting for.
Assange believes the entire effort to smear the Russians over the leaks is intended to diminish voters’ trust in the incoming president.
“So, why such a dramatic response? Well, the reason is obvious,” he said. “They’re trying to delegitimize the Trump administration as it goes into the White House.”
“They are trying to say that President-elect Trump is not a legitimate President,” Assange added.
Looking at the situation as a whole, Assange appears to be right on the mark. Between the accusations that Russian interference aided Trump’s win and Obama both throwing grenades and putting up as many road blocks as he possibly can, it’s evident that he and his party are trying to undermine Trump’s administration at every turn.
But hang in there, folks. There’s just 17 days and a little over 12 hours left until Obama takes his rightful place in the history books as the worst mistake the country has ever made, then we can finally get to work making American great again!
