Geriatric socialist Bernie Sanders attended a Memorial Day ceremony in California on Monday to honor over a million brave veterans who have made the ultimate sacrifice for our nation, and a candid photo was taken of him that caught him doing the last thing he should have been doing while honoring our nation’s heroes – sleeping.
Yeah, apparently Bernie’s age is catching up to him on the campaign trail, and he had a hard time keeping his eyes open during what’s arguably one of the most important federal holidays we celebrate as a nation. The photo was snapped by Zoe Dunning, who’s a gay rights activist, veteran, ardent Hillary Clinton supporter, and a high-ranking member of the San Francisco Democrat Party, and she was none too nice in her critique of the Senator.

According to Breitbart News, Dunning uploaded the image, which has since gone viral, to Facebook and included the following caption:
Attending the Memorial Day Ceremony honoring the over 1 million Americans who have lost their lives serving our country, and watching Bernie Sanders fall asleep during it. There is nothing I can really add here. #imwithher
Ouch. Hard to disagree with her though, considering the fact that if he were actually elected president, he would never hear the end of it if he fell asleep during a ceremony honoring veterans since he would be the commander-in-chief of the entire armed forces.
Bernie’s prostrated posture wasn’t lost on the Twitter-verse either, where people were quick to criticize the self-proclaimed Democratic Socialist for everything from being “low energy” to being older than Moses after the Floods resided.

You get the idea. That was pretty brutal.
While it’s understandable that Bernie may be tired from his round-the-clock campaigning, falling asleep during such an important event seems quite disrespectful to those who fought and died for our nation, considering that if veterans were really that important to him, he’s be able to stay awake for just an hour to show his respect. That’s not to mention, it calls into question whether or not he’s physically fit enough to be able to run for president since it’s arguably the most demanding job on the planet, and if he’s unable to stay awake after merely campaigning, he’s likely not going to be able to stay awake if we had a national emergency at 3 a.m. either.
What do you think; is this something Bernie should be criticized over or should people just let it go?
