A black lawyer and editor of a popular legal website has made an utterly disturbing demand of his fellow black people who may find themselves serving jury duty.
Racism against white people has grown out of hand over the past eight years as those on the left openly encourage people of color to demonize white people simply for the color of their skin. Perhaps that’s why Elie Mystal, editor and contributor to the legal blog Above the Law, posted an editorial on Dec. 7 calling on all black juror to use “jury nullification” to acquit all black people accused of any crime whatsoever, especially those who’ve been charged with murdering a white person.
Why would he call on black jurors to acquit black murderers of white people?
Because “African-Americans live in a world where the police can murder us and get away with it,” that’s why.
The legal analyst argued there’s “no justice for black people,” but that “violently revolting against the system will get us nowhere.”
Because of this, Mystal says, lawlessness is the answer.
Maybe it’s time for black people to use the same tool white people have been using to defy a system they do not consent to: jury nullification. White juries regularly refuse to convict or indict cops for murder. White juries refuse to convict vigilantes who murder black children. White juries refuse to convict other white people for property crimes. White juries act like the law is just a guideline and their personal morality (or lack thereof) should be controlling.
Maybe it’s time minorities got in the game?
Mystal went on to demand that all black jurors refuse to vote to convict any black person for any crime perpetrated against white people, especially if they’re a white man, because racism, or something. Apparently Mystal feels this is the only way to force whatever change he desires (here’s a hint; he didn’t actually say what he wanted).
Murder? … what the hell do you think is happening to black people out here? What the hell do you think we’re complaining about when your cops shoot us or choke us? Acquit. Don’t throw “murder” at me like it’s some kind of moral fault line where the risk of letting one go is too great. Black people ARE BEING MURDERED, and the system isn’t doing a damn thing to hold their killers accountable. Sorry I’m not sorry if this protest idea would put the shoe on the other foot for a change.
Mystal, not to be outdone by himself, went on to say that black people have zero responsibility to help white people “achieve justice” because of the statistically negligible number of police brutality cases against black people in the country, and also white people “regularly deny” justice to blacks.
He also argues that freeing guilty criminals regardless of how much evidence was against them would “gum up the system” and force white people to recognize the plight of the Black Lives Matter crowd.
White people would lose their s**t, that’s what would happen. Suddenly, the New York Times would pull reporters off the “understanding Trump voters” beat and you’d start seeing stories like “Hmm… It Appears Negros Have Some Grievances Too.”
As he nears the end of his unhinged ranting, Mystal claims that white people “using jury nullification to protect cops. But the door swings both ways. It’s time for us to push back. Civil disobedience, when used in a targeted fashion, is a powerful force.”
At the end of the day, as far as Mystal is concerned, a few hundred guilty black murderers roaming the streets are just a small price to pay as long as he and his fellow Black Lives Matter terrorists get what they want, although it’s still unclear what exactly it is they want.
