Singer Joy Villa made headlines last night when she wore a “Make America Great Again” dress to the ultra-left Grammy Awards, and it didn’t come without consequence.
Whether or not Villa’s dress was a publicity stunt is unknown, but the dress didn’t appear to be anything other than her showing support for the 45th President, and America took notice. Prior to the music awards show, sales for her album “I Love the Static” were ranked number 543,202 on Amazon, but just hours after her appearance on the red carpet something incredible happened.
The Gateway Pundit is reporting that as word caught on of Villa’s controversial attire, her record sales skyrocketed to the point that she was ranked higher than both Lady Gaga and pop music icon Beyoncé. In fact, she was ranked number three only behind the ever-popular Bruno Mars and the soundtrack to the Fifty Shades of Grey sequel, Fifty Shades Darker.
The spike in sales could be attributed to curiosity in her music or it could be a response to the alt-left’s boycott of anything related to President Trump. Although recent history has shown that Americans have stood behind those willing to publicly express support for our president, as young opera singer Jackie Evancho learned after performing for President Trump’s inauguration when her album sales shot through the roof.
