This morning, the nation was rocked by a despicable act of political terror that appears to have been targeted at Republican members of Congress.
The leftist media has been largely silent about the fact that the gunman had asked Rep. Ron DeSantis if Republicans or Democrats were on the field just prior to opening fire and shooting five people, including House Majority Whip Steve Scalise. However, witnesses on the ground have little doubt about the motive behind the shooting – the gunman was looking to kill Republicans.
Rep. Mark Walker of North Carolina told NBC News that it appeared the “gunman was there to kill as many Republican members as possible,” and DeSantis recalled an “odd” encounter he had in the parking lot just before shots rang out.
From The Week:
Rep. Ron DeSantis (R-Fla.) recounted an “odd” encounter he had as he was leaving the field just minutes before the shooting: “There was a guy that walked up to us that was asking whether it was Republicans or Democrats out there, and it was just a little odd,” DeSantis told Fox News.
Meanwhile, as of this writing, CNN was still questioning the possible motives of the shooter while completely omitting key details regarding the same. Although it’s really no surprise, already people have decried the leftist hate fest against all things conservative, and they’re right; the virulent hatred directed toward the right is what caused this.
Why else would someone specifically target Republicans when they’re most vulnerable?
