Following the historic vote for Great Britain to leave the European Union, the presumed nominee of the Republican Party Donald Trump reacted to the news with a massive call for Americans to revolt against the system in November.
Trump is currently in Scotland, where he owns a prestigious golf course, but his campaign weighed in on the shocking results of Britain’s referendum, and his response left Americans cheering.
“The people of the United Kingdom have exercised the sacred right of all free peoples. They have declared their independence from the European Union and have voted to reassert control over their own politics, borders and economy,” the press release stated. “A Trump administration pledges to strengthen our ties with a free and independent Britain, deepening our bonds in commerce, culture and mutual defense. The whole world is more peaceful and stable when our two countries — and our two peoples — are united together, as they will be under a Trump administration.”
People in both America and Britain see the numerous parallels between Britain’s choice to leave the E.U. and the choices America faces in November. In both cases, voters have the choice to reject the status quo, rebuke the media, and revolt against the establishments that have slowly eroded our freedoms while selling off our sovereignty.
“Come November, the American people will have the chance to re-declare their independence. Americans will have a chance to vote for trade, immigration and foreign policies that put our citizens first,” continued Trump’s statement. “They will have the chance to reject today’s rule by the global elite, and to embrace real change that delivers a government of, by and for the people. I hope America is watching, it will soon be time to believe in America again.”
Indeed we are watching, and those of us fed up with Washington elites destroying our nation see Britain’s vote as a sign of encouragement that anger is growing across the world at the globalist agenda. Just as the people of Britain showed the world that they cherish their uniqueness and want to be left alone, Americans are now facing the same choice in who we elect this election cycle.
There’s a distinct difference between the candidates, and each offers a very different path forward for our nation. With Hillary, we would get the same old same old while watching our nation be further torn apart from within, whereas Trump offers a much brighter future we can all look forward to as our nation and its people are put before others abroad.
Looking at it that way, the choice seems rather obvious.
