Part 12 of the Wikileaks document dump is loaded with just as many goodies as the rest, and one of them is from a Clinton confidante and advisor who seemingly states the obvious.
Neera Tanden has been around Hillary for years, and in an email exchange with campaign chair John Podesta she laments that Hillary doesn’t seem to know what’s going on around her. According to Paul Watson of InfoWars, the exchange came after Hillary told a crowd of supporters she’s a “moderate” right as the campaign was trying to woo the ultra-left base of Bernie supporters.

More from Watson:
“Why did she call herself a moderate?” asks Tanden.
“I pushed her on this on Sunday night. She claims she didn’t remember saying it. Not sure I believe her,” responded Podesta.
“I mean it makes my life more difficult after telling every reporter I know she’s actually progressive but that is really the smallest of issues. It worries me more that she doesn’t seem to know what planet we are all living in at the moment,” Tanden answered.
It’s unknown whether or not Tanden was referencing Hillary’s health causing her memory functions to deteriorate or the fact she flip flops on issues more than a large-mouth bass on a fishing dock, but regardless it shows her campaign has struggled to frame her as a progressive rather than an establishment hack. It also emphasizes the fact that even people within her own campaign have their doubts about the person they’re supposed to be supporting.
