Wikileaks founder Julian Assange has been a thorn in the side of corrupt politicians for over a decade.
To date, his organization has yet to be proven wrong on anything it’s released, and last year it made headlines after dumping thousands of emails from the DNC and Hillary Clinton’s campaign chair John Podesta, which the Democrats have been blaming on The Russians! ™. However, according to a new report, Assange is ready to release information that will blow that claim straight out of the water.
According to The Hill, Republican Rep. Dana Rohrabacher (CA) flew to the Ecuadorian embassy in London, where Assange is holed up after being granted asylum, to discuss a possible deal with the U.S. government. While he was there, Assange told her that he’s ready to release even more information he has, which could turn out to be quite an issue for the Democrats.
From The Hill:
Rohrabacher recounted his conversation with Assange to The Hill.
“Our three-hour meeting covered a wide array of issues, including the WikiLeaks exposure of the DNC emails during last year’s presidential election,” Rohrabacher said, “Julian emphatically stated that the Russians were not involved in the hacking or disclosure of those emails.
Pressed for more detail on the source of the documents, Rohrabacher said he had information to share privately with President Donald Trump.
“Julian also indicated that he is open to further discussions regarding specific information about the DNC email incident that is currently unknown to the public,” he added.
Given Assange’s track record, the Democrats should be terrified…really terrified. As it is, their corruption being exposed is what cost them the election, and with the mid-terms coming up, another document dump could prove to be a fatal blow for the floundering party.
UPDATE, 1:08 p.m.: Rep. Rohrabacher conducted an interview with the Daily Caller Thursday morning in which she stated Assange may receive a pardon in exchange for information he has about the Democrats. His comments are below:
Rohrabacher told The Daily Caller in an exclusive interview Thursday that Assange is hoping to leave the Ecuadorian embassy in London where he is currently in asylum, and that during the meeting they explored “what might be necessary to get him out.”
The congressman told TheDC that “if [Assange] is going to give us a big favor, he would obviously have to be pardoned to leave the Ecuadorian embassy.”
“He has information that will be of dramatic importance to the United States and the people of our country as well as to our government,” Rohrabacher said. “Thus if he comes up with that, you know he’s going to expect something in return. He can’t even leave the embassy to get out to Washington to talk to anybody if he doesn’t have a pardon. Obviously there is an issue there that needs to be dealt with, but we haven’t come to any conclusion yet.”
The congressman has yet to receive the information that has been promised to him by Assange, but he said he is confident he will receive it.
“If I had to bet on it, I would bet that we are going to get the information that will be mind-boggling and of major historical significance,” Rohrabacher said. He said if it is significant enough, he will bring it directly to Trump.
“And there has already been some indication that the president will be very anxious to hear what I have to say if that is the determination that I make,” Rohrabacher added.
