Prior to the official start of the DNC Convention, Florida Rep. Debbie Wasserman-Schultz was booed of the stage for her role in Berniegate as she addressed her state’s delegates in Philadelphia, but that was the least of her concerns.
Following the bombshell revelations in the Wikileaks email dump, Dipstick Debbie isn’t exactly the most popular politicians among the left, and rightfully so. She actively worked to thwart the will of the people and suppress their votes so that her majesty Hillary Clinton’s coronation wasn’t interrupted by a lunatic socialist.
But it turns out the lunatic had more support than the DNC imagined, and now they’re facing severe backlash from leftists across the nation outraged at the deception they were victims of. Apparently, now even the DNC is backing away from the toxic congresswoman, and just announced its not going to be supporting her financially during her primary challenge in Florida.
The Hill has more:
“It’s a Democratic district, and typically our resources go — when you talk about financial resources and TV buys — those go to the most competitive races in America. … That’s the priority that we have as a committee,” Luján told reporters gathered in Philadelphia for the Democratic National Convention.
“That’s what we’ve been doing and will continue to do that. I don’t know if there will be a change.”
Kelly Ward, executive director of the DCCC, echoed that message.
“We have an infrastructure that incumbents are welcome to participate in. We have staff that know how to run campaigns. So when incumbents have questions about technical campaign [issues] … we are happy to help them and give them good advice and guidance,” Ward said. “Debbie Wasserman Schultz clearly knows how to do that; she knows how to run a campaign, so she hasn’t needed our technical assistance in the same way that some of the other state incumbents sometimes do.
“We never spend money on the safe seats,” she added.
She’s facing a populist liberal the likes of Bernie Sanders named Tim Canova in the primary. If the backlash from the email scandal is any indication of what’s to come, her name won’t even make the ballot in November as Floridians decide who’s going to represent their districts.
Fear not, however, as Dipstick Debbie has already secured a position with the Clinton campaign as “honorary chair,” which means that since Debbie fell on the sword for Hillary, Hillary is going to ensure she’s taken care of, regardless of whether or not she holds political office.
