A new batch of hacked emails have been released, and boy do they contain some juicy material.
According to a report from MailOnline, the latest emails are from former Secretary of State Colin Powell, and the reveal that he doesn’t think too highly of either candidate, and that he had some choice words about Hillary Clinton. Although in all fairness he really doesn’t like Trump, as some emails revealed that he called the billionaire a “national disgrace.”
However, while his disdain for Trump was expected, what wasn’t expected was his sharp criticism of Hillary over her email scandal and the fact that he said she pretty much screws up everything she touches.
In a series of email to Clinton aide Cheryl Mills, Powell made it abundantly clear he didn’t want his name brought up throughout the entire email scandal. Obviously that didn’t happen, and Powell was none too pleased that Hillary’s team tried to lay the blame at his feet.
“HRC could have killed this two years ago by merely telling everyone honestly what she had done and not tie me to it,” wrote Powell.
“I told her staff three times not to try that gambit” he added. “I had to throw a mini tantrum at a Hampton’s party to get their attention. She keeps tripping into these ‘character’ minefields.”
He also called Hillary’s handling of the situation “dumb,” and said that he tried to warn her numerous times to not connect it all to him. In a later email to a donor, Powell said that Hillary’s actions could jeopardize the “legitimate use of emails” because she didn’t follow the rules on record keeping.
“Everything HRC touches she kind of screws up with hubris,” he added.
While the emails from Powell don’t necessarily point to any wrongdoing on Hillary’s behalf, they do seem to suggest that he’s not too confident in her abilities, especially since he said she screws up everything she touches, which is apparent if you look at her list of “accomplishments.”
