The National Anthem controversy seems to be gaining more supporters throughout the NFL, but there’s at least one team who isn’t having any of it.
Professional crybully Colin Kaepernick started the trend where players kneel during the Star Spangled Banner to show their discontent with the nation that’s provided them everything, and since then numerous other players have followed his lead. However, during the Monday Night Football game between the Redskins and the Steelers, the Redskins sent a stern message to Kaepernick and others who would disrespect our nation.

It wasn’t just the Redskins who stepped for the nation either. Every one of the Steelers players stood for the National Anthem, and several players joined the Redskins in holding the Super Flag that was displayed on the field.

From what I could tell, Ben Roethlisberger and Greg Warren held the field-sized American flag. All Steelers standing. Skins ALL held flag.

Bravo, boys. Now that’s how you do it!
While we all can respect Kaepernick’s right to protest as he pleases, he should really consider what it is he’s protesting. America isn’t the problem, it afford opportunities unseen in any other nation on the planet.
If you want to protest certain people and their behaviors, go right ahead. But don’t disrespect the nation that gave you everything and the people who protect it, because all you’re doing is showing how ignorant you truly are.
