FBI Director James Comey is testifying before Congress today regarding the decision to not push for charges against Hillary Clinton over her private email server, and during the hearing, he dropped a massive bombshell about her interview with the agency that has people quite upset.
Director Comey admitted that he wasn’t present when his bureau interviewed Hillary about her homebrew server, which was probably smart considering the political fallout that would come from it. However, what wasn’t too smart was what didn’t take place when Hillary spoke to federal agents.
According to Breitbart News, Hillary was interviewed by the FBI on Saturday of last weekend, and during his testimony today, Comey revealed that the meeting wasn’t recorded, but that’s not even the worst part. Not only did the agency not record Hillary, despite her previously perjuring herself in front of Congress, but they didn’t even transcribe the meeting to be able to go back and see what she said.
More from Breitbart:
He was then asked, “did she testify or talk to them under oath?” Comey answered, “No.” But added that “it’s still a crime to lie to us.”
When asked if there was a transcript of the interview, Comey stated that there wasn’t one because the interview wasn’t recorded, but there was an analysis of Clinton’s interview.
Isn’t that just awesome? But fear not, because Comey did reassure the committee that lying to the FBI is still a crime, although he wasn’t able to clarify how they would know she lied without having transcripts of her interview.
Some may say that it’s pretty standard to not have a recording or transcription of an interview, but this isn’t exactly a standard case either. In order to be as thorough as possible, the meeting should have been recorded from start to finish.
The more we learn about it, the more this seems like it’s exactly what we thought – Hillary got off once again because of her political power. So much for liberty and justice for all, huh.
