As controversy continues to swirl over Colin Kaepernick’s outright disrespect for our nation and its flag, a South Carolina high school decided to ban Old Glory from its football games.

Although while the two incidents aren’t related, they highlight a larger issue our nation is facing with patriotism dying off as leftists continue to push for our country to change. Kaepernick said his refusal to stand for the pledge stems from black people being “oppressed” in America, and the South Carolina school’s decision to ban the flag stems from the possibility that Latino students might become offended at the sight of it.

Two different incidents, one underlying theme – America is the problem.

According to WNCN, Travelers Rest High School principal Lou Lavely forbade students from bringing in American flags to the school’s football game against Berea High School due to Berea’s high percentage of Latino students. Apparently Lavely believes that those carrying the flags were doing so to taunt the opposing team’s players, rather than celebrate the U.S. Olympic Team’s great success just a week prior, which students claim was the reason for bringing in the flags to begin with.

In a Facebook post, Hunter Ballew eviscerated Laevly banning the flags, which was the start of widespread outrage over the school’s anti-American decision.

The post reads:

Lou Lavely, Travelers Rest High School Principal, continues to power trip and strip young Americans the right to proudly boast this Nation’s flag.

Last night I picked my brother up from the TRHS Football game and he told me that Lavely had denied entry to a couple of young men with Americans flag. I can’t deny the rage I felt as this is the third incident I’ve had involving Lavely and the flag I love.

First, the day after Osama was killed in 2011 we were told we couldn’t have the American flag on our trucks on school property and the TRPD came and handled the situation. Lavely later apologized to our group.

Second, I was picking up my youngest brother and saw two high school boys handling our flag with disrespect at the flag pole as they let it drag the ground and it acted like it was not an issue.

Third, last night as I took the flag and attempted to enter myself he stated, “he has the authority to tell anyone they can’t bring it on the property.” Unfortunately the cops were not helpful and sided with Lavely even after stating “you’d probably win if you took it to the school district.” I’m no expert and don’t know the laws in and out. But.. if he has the power to strip Americans the right to boast the American flag after being pumped up about our Olympic run there is a much bigger problem. A problem that need to be resolved.

I’m sick of this political correctness. We need to do something about it because it’s not getting any better.

In response, Lavely released the following statement:

“Some events at last evening’s football game have resulted in concerns being raised in our community. I am writing to assure that any decisions made regarding American flags being permitted into the game were made in the best interests of all attending the game and in the spirit of patriotism and respect for our flag.

Any decision to not allow the American flag to be used in an improper ‘taunting,’ unsportsmanlike manner is first and foremost in the interests of promoting the safety and well-being of all in attendance at school events. This decision would be made anytime that the American flag, or any other symbol, sign, cheer, or action on the part of our fans would potentially compromise the safety of all in attendance at a school event.”

According to Greenville Online, Berea principal Mike Noel supported Lavely’s horrible decision. In a statement he said that Lavely should be “celebrated” for not allowing students their First Amendment rights to show their patriotism at a football game, and that he “made the right decision” to ban the flag from the game.

Police also came under fire for forbidding students from entering with the flag. However, they released a sharp rebuttal saying that they were merely following instructions from the school, and they in no way support Lavely’s decision, especially since the officer guarding the gate is a military veteran himself.

So what does this say about those coming into our nation if the sight of our flag is offensive to them? This is exactly what Trump has been talking about – if people aren’t going to assimilate they shouldn’t come here – yet he was ripped to shreds for the media by it.

Meanwhile, our nation, its culture, and people’s pride in it are slowly being diluted by waves upon waves of people coming from other nations and refusing to leave their third-world cultures where they came from. Yet we’re demonized as nationalists for demanding they respect us and our nation because we’re offering them a better life.

But hey, if wanting to end the flood of people trying to change our nation for the worst makes me a white nationalist, then I wear the label with pride. After all, the very things these people are destroying are the very things that made this nation great, and they’re worth protecting at all costs, including offending those willing to take advantage of everything our country offers but refusing to assimilate into our culture.

So this November, consider stories like this before you go to cast your ballot. We can either continue with the destruction of our nation from within by electing Hillary, or we can finally reverse course and start repairing the nearly irreparable damage done over the last eight years by the left by electing Trump.

Seems like an easy one to me.
