On Sunday, Barack Obama and his family traveled to Cuba for what was the first trip by a sitting U.S. president to the communist island in 90 years. While there’s likely going to be many historic events during his visit, the Internet can’t seem to get over the incredibly ironic image that appeared behind him in a picture taken while he was there.
While most on the right are disgusted that Obama’s lending the Castros legitimacy after decades of human rights abuses, those on the left are applauding his outreach to the economically-depressed nation, and they’re probably going to be even happier about it after seeing a leftist hero appear behind Obama. Unfortunately, that hero is none other than the brutal Marxist revolutionary Che Guevara, who at one point hoped that the U.S. was hit with nuclear missiles during the Cuban Missile Crisis.
Check it out:

Of course, the irony of the image wasn’t lost on the Twitter-verse. Reactions were swift, and not exactly nice either.

For those a little slow on the uptake, it’s supposed to say, “DOU-Che BAG.”
But anyways, you get the idea. There’s actually some people who tried comparing Reagan speaking in front of a Lenin bust to the picture above, but the difference is that Reagan wasn’t a far-left ideologue who in all likelihood secretly praises Che and his Marxist beliefs.
