The fascist left is feeling empowered after claiming the scalp of media giant Bill O’Reilly.
All it took was a few unfounded allegations and before we knew it, the Murdoch sons were able to get the highest rated anchor in the history of cable news removed from the air. In the wake of the stunning decision from Fox News, the left is feeling emboldened to take on other prominent personalities, and apparently they’re going to go right down the line trying to silence top conservative names.
First it was O’Reilly, now it’s Sean Hannity – a conservative powerhouse who’s been exposing the lunatic left for decades.
On Friday, pseudo-conservative and certifiable nut job Debbie Schlussel, who has a history of trying to take out other conservatives, lobbed shocking allegations of sexual harassment against Hannity without any evidence whatsoever, and predictably the liberal media pounced on the claims as if they were the sworn testimony that put away a baby killer. The New York Daily News led the charge.
Schlussel claims that Hannity asked her to go back to her hotel room after a book signing – of note is that she couldn’t name the specific event – and her refusal to do so is why she wasn’t booked on the Hannity show again.
From the NYDN:
Schlussel said on the Pat Campbell Podcast Friday that Hannity repeatedly invited her back to his hotel room during an event they were at together in Detroit. Schlussel did not say on the podcast when the event took place.
What Schlussel failed to mention is that she’s been after Hannity’s scalp for years, and she has a history of attacking other conservatives. In 2010, she falsely accused Hannity’s Freedom Concerts charity, which the anchor used to raise money for military families, of being a scam.
Her unfounded allegations came after a 2007 blog post in which she accused Hannity of plagiarizing her, and she also has a history of unfairly criticizing the Fox host, who she calls “Sean Vanity,” on a range of other issues.
It’s worthy of noting that Schlussel’s accusations are of strange timing considering we recently learned Fox News and Bill O’Reilly settled for some $13 million with women accusing O’Reilly of impropriety at the workplace.
In an extremely strong statement, Hannity replied to the allegations against him, and it’s safe to say he’s not about to roll over and play dead.
From the Gateway Pundit:
“LET ME BE CLEAR – THE COMMENTS ABOUT ME ON A RADIO SHOW THIS WEEK by this individual are 100% false and a complete fabrication.
This individual is a serial harasser who has been lying about me for well over a decade. The individual has a history of making provably false statements against me in an effort to slander, smear and besmirch my reputation.
The individual has not just slandered me over the years but many people who this individual disagrees with.
This individual desperately seeks attention by any means necessary, including making unfounded personal attacks and using indefensible and outrageous political rhetoric.
My patience with this individual is over. I have retained a team of some of the finest and toughest lawyers in the country who are now in the process of laying out the legal course of action we will be taking against this individual.
In this fiercely divided & vindictive political climate, I will no longer allow slander and lies about me to go unchallenged, as I see a coordinated effort afoot to now silence those with conservative views. I will fight every single lie about me by all legal means available to me as an American.”
Apparently Hannity isn’t going to let his reputation be tarnished without a fight, and Hannity’s reputation is as clean as a whistle.
Regardless, the left has declared war on all things conservative, and whether it be labeling dissenting views as “fake news” or lobbing baseless claims of sexual improprieties, they’ll stop at nothing to silence their opposition. The only way to stop it is to fight back and sue them into oblivion, and it appears as if Hannity is doing exactly that.
