While the left loves to accuse conservatives, especially presumed GOP nominee Donald Trump, of being fascists, just the opposite is true, and what happened to NFL legend Herschel Walker after he endorsed Trump for president is evidence of it.
The Heisman Trophy-winning running back came out in full support of The Donald a while back, and ever since he’s been a victim of the “tolerant” left’s tolerance for opposing views. And by “tolerance,” I mean the complete lack thereof.
According to Breitbart News, Walker has been missing out on big bucks from speaking fees, but it’s not because nobody wants to hear him talk, or that he’s not inspirational to young black men trying to make something of themselves. No, both of those are still true. The only thing that’s changed is he supports someone the left vehemently opposes, and now he’s paying the price for it.
Breitbart has more:
NFL Great Herschel Walker was one of the early Trump supporters out of the gate but now he says he is losing speaking gigs by anti-Trumpers who are blackballing him.
Walker, a running back for such teams as the Minnesota Vikings and the Dallas Cowboys, recently told gossip site TMZ he has had multiple speaking engagements canceled because hosts say they are worried he’ll attract anti-Trump protestors.
The retired football player was one of the celebrity contestants on season eight of Trump’s reality TV show The Apprentice which aired in 2009 and has been a big fan of the real estate mogul ever since.
Walker wouldn’t tell the gossip site what events nixed his speaking slots, but he said that event sponsors in California specifically noted he was axed because of his support for Trump.
Nice, right? Being a black Republican is already hard enough, but apparently being a black, Trump supporting Republican gets you blacklisted from being able to make money in your industry.
Despite the constant chorus from the media that Trump is a raging racist and hardcore bigot, Walker had the following to say about the billionaire:
I’ve seen [Trump] around people, I don’t know where he says those outlandish, crazy things. And people say that he’s racist. But I’ve never seen anything that [made me] consider Donald is a racist. Because of the things – he’s said those outlandish things about building a wall – that doesn’t mean you’re racist when you say things like that.
Oddly enough, just about everyone who’s ever met Trump has said the same kind of things about him, including those who are minorities. Yet the media refuses to report that side of him, for they would rather paint him as a racist to boost the chances of the most unpopular candidate in American history being elected in November – Hillary Clinton.
It’s also worth noting that not only does the media refuse to report the numerous stories of people defending The Donald, they also refuse to report stories like this, where people’s endorsement of him have ended up costing them their jobs or opportunities.
It’s amazing that even with all of the negative coverage, Trump is still polling right alongside Hillary, who gets nothing but favorable coverage from the sycophantic media, isn’t it? Imagine what would happen if they were honest in their reporting of him.
A landslide wouldn’t even begin to describe what would happen.
