Actress Nicole Kidman just ticked off almost all of her colleagues in Hollywood.
The dual citizen of America and Australia didn’t go so far as to let her political views be known, but she sent a clear message to the Hollywood snowflakes still crying over their epic defeat – get over it and support the incoming president. Speaking to U.K. television host Victoria Derbyshire, Kidman told people to “let it go” because the election is over and we need to move on.
“[Trump is] now elected and we, as a country, need to support whoever is the president,” she said. “That is what the country is based on. And however that happened, it happened, and let’s go.”
Kidman is married to country music star Keith Urban, and the pair apparently posted pictures to Instagram celebrating their right to vote. However, neither went as far as to say who it is they voted for, which is a smart move in our highly polarized nation.
“I’m always reticent to start commenting politically,” Kidman said. “I’ve never done it in terms of America or Australia. I’m issue based. I’m very, very committed to women’s issues.”
Kidman did remark on marriage equality, to which she simply stated that “commitment is a wonderful thing,” and that she believe everyone should be protected under the law.
