Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton are both like herpes on America’s privates; they go away for a time then resurface to annoy the living hell out of you.
Following the 2016 Presidential Election, where Hillary Clinton was handed a devastating defeat by fed up Americans, she retreated to the woods, literally, for a few months to try to understand what happened. The same goes for Obama, who hopped on a private jet and flew around the world with his family.
But now, after just six months of not having to deal with these two losers, they’ve already decided it’s time for them to get back into the public spotlight.
Yeah, you read that right. The pair of Democrat demigods are planning to hit the campaign trail to help their fellow Democrats win back the House and Senate next year, in what’s sure to be a winning strategy. /sarc
From the Daily Caller:
Aides to Obama told The Hill’s Amie Parnes he is looking to resurface on the national campaign stage. Parnes also reported Tuesday that Clinton is trying to sort out what role she might play in the midterm elections.
Parnes has written several books about the Clinton and Obama races.
Although the pair bring a lot of fundraising firepower to a very crowded field of needy Democratic candidates, party insiders worry about who would control the party if either past candidate became too influential.
“He has to be careful,” Julian Zelizer, a professor of history and public affairs at Princeton University told The Hill. “At a moment when President Trump’s approval is falling so fast — including with his base — there is a risk for Obama taking center stage and triggering the energy that many Republicans currently lack.”
Indeed. Obama’s reprisal would be sure to rile up the same base that propelled President Trump into the White House, as would Hillary’s.
However, that’s a good thing for both Republicans and the country. These two America-hating losers would be a poison pill for any candidate they campaigned with, which would all but certainly give Republicans the majorities they need to completely undo the damage done by Obama and his fellow Democrats.
So I say, go all-in, guys!
