A Georgia couple is now on the run after they went full ghetto against a restaurant owner and her daughter over a piece of cold chicken…seriously.
The couple, identified as Nathaniel Eric Smith and Latasha M. Smith, apparently became so enraged that their chicken was cold they couldn’t restrain themselves and ended up beating the hell out of the owner of Qwick Chick in Baxley. Worse yet, the owner’s teen daughter was on the receiving end of a right hook that rivaled that of Mike Tyson’s as the couple fled the scene.
The horrifying incident was captured on surveillance footage, and it shows the moment that Mrs. Smith erupted into a ball of rage and began beating Jeanette Norris. Shortly after the attack happened, Norris’s daughter exited a nearby vehicle to help her mother, but her efforts were in vain as the incredibly large Mr. Smith unloaded a right hook straight to her face, knocking her back several feet and taking her completely out of the fight.
From the Daily Mail:
The couple, identified as Nathaniel Eric Smith and Latasha M. Smith, got into an altercation with the food store’s owner, Jeanette Norris, because they said their chicken was cold and they didn’t have enough fries.
Norris refunded their money but she said they went ‘berserk’ anyway and began beating on the store’s windows.
She walked outside to tell the pair that police were on the way and that’s when footage shows Latasha rushing at the woman and punching her several times.
Norris goes out of frame and Latasha leaves, but then her 15-year-old daughter gets out of a vehicle and comes over to help. That’s when Nathaniel clocks her in the face, sending her flying backwards. He then walks off.
Other customers quickly came over to comfort the girl.
Norris and her daughter, 15, both had two black eyes from the assault. Norris also suffered a broken nose while her daughter was given a concussion from the savage hit to her face.
Police are now searching for the Smiths, who were identified after an outpouring of support from the local community. Both have outstanding arrest warrants for aggravated battery and cruelty to children.
As for the assault itself, Baxley Police Chief James Godfrey summarized it perfectly.
“That’s just pure brutality,” he said.
Indeed, and hopefully police are able to find and arrest these people before they hurt someone else.
It’s evident they lack any regard for their fellow human beings, so maybe a decade in the pokey will teach them a little humanity.
