Yesterday, news broke of Buzzfeed writer Kate Aurthur going after Chip and Joanna Gaines from “Fixer Upper” over their church’s position on gay marriage, and now we’ve discovered the real reason behind the witch hunt.
For those unaware, the article, titled “Chip And Joanna Gaines’ Church Is Firmly Against Same-Sex Marriage,” attempted to lay the beliefs of the pastor of their church on the Gaines despite the fact they’ve never publicly commented about how they feel on the issue of same-sex marriage. In other words, Aurthur was trying to smear them as horrible Christians for attending a church that holds the Biblical belief that same-sex marriage is wrong, even though the Gaines themselves have never said how they feel one way or another.
A leftist witch hunt if there ever was one.
Aurthur, an activist masquerading as a journalist that Buzzfeed gives a voice to, apparently had motivations beyond those she presented to her audience of being concerned over whether or not gay couples had ever been on the Gaines’ show. In a tweet from a few days ago, her disdain for the Gaines was apparent when she revealed her belief they voted for Trump, which was apparently a “blood-boiling” situation for her.

What a coincidence, eh? A few days ago, Aurthur shows her contempt for “Fixer Upper,” then yesterday a leftist smear piece comes out on Buzzfeed?
No, there’s no connection there at all, is there. Just like there wasn’t any connection between Hillary Clinton and the dozen or so women who waited until three weeks before the election to come forward with sexual assault allegations from decades ago.
Timing is everything, as they say.
But this just goes to show you that to the left, politics are as personal as they come. They lost the election, so now they’re going to try to take down any, and everybody who voted for Trump as a result, and they’ll use whatever means possible, including pure conjecture disguised as fact-based reporting – their specialty.
Sore losers doesn’t even begin to describe them.
Welcome to the next four years…
