Legendary rocker and former guitarist for The Eagles, Joe Walsh, scheduled a charity event this summer for America’s veterans, where he was set to help raise money for their cause. However, after he learned a single detail about the show, he made a disgusting move that people aren’t happy about.

Later this summer, Walsh was set to lay for a group of veterans in Cleveland, Ohio, and could have possibly raised quite a bit of money for their cause. But unfortunately, the legendary guitarist puts politics over America’s heroes, and he announced on Wednesday that he’s canceling the planned show altogether, even though he had a signed contract to play.

The reason? This one will probably upset you – the scheduled show was at the beginning of the Republican National convention.

Isn’t that nice? Meanwhile, he just played at the ultra-liberal Coachella festival in California. But more on that in a minute.

“It was my understanding that I was playing a concert which was a nonpartisan event to benefit the families of American veterans on Monday, July 18 in Cleveland. The admat I approved said this specifically,” the James Gang founder said in a statement, according to Rolling Stone. “Today it was announced that this event is, in fact, a launch for the Republican National Convention.”

Walsh argues that his appearance would help the GOP, and that’s something he’s apparently not okay with… at all.

“In addition, my name is to be used to raise sponsorship dollars for convention-related purposes. Therefore, I must humbly withdraw my participation in this event with apologies to any fans or veterans and their families that I might disappoint.”

His problem? Like so many other misinformed and apoplectic liberals, he thinks the current GOP field is a bunch of vile, evil racists who hate all immigrants and are too concerned with looking out for America’s interests, or something.

“I am very concerned about the rampant vitriol, fear-mongering and bullying coming from the current Republican campaigns,” he continued. “It is both isolationist and spiteful. I cannot in good conscience endorse the Republican Party in any way. I will look at doing a veteran related benefit concert later this year.”

Back to Walsh’s Coachella antics. BizPac Review noted that Walsh made a surprise appearance at the festival, which is a bastion of liberal lunacy, and had a rapper named YG there, who performed a song named “F**k Donald Trump.”

Apparently that’s just fine in Walsh’s small, intolerant mind.
