The latest of the email scandal that’s been haunting Hillary Clinton on her run for the presidency proves what many of us have known to be true all along – that Hillary left four Americans to die in Benghazi while she was serving as Secretary of State.
Ever since the attack, the Obama administration, including Hillary, has tried to convince the American people that there’s no way they could have gotten help to the victims in time to save them. In fact, Defense Secretary Leon Panetta testified under oath in 2013 and made that very claim, but a new email discovered by Judicial Watch appears to prove otherwise, Fox News reported.
Panetta’s Chief of Staff Jeremy Bash sent an urgent email to top Clinton deputies asking for help as the attack was underway in Benghazi, and apparently he informed them that there were forces at the ready to move in to assist those under siege.
The email reads:
“I just tried you on the phone but you were all in with S [apparent reference to then-Secretary of State Hillary Clinton]. After consulting with General Dempsey, General Ham and the Joint Staff, we have identified the forces that could move to Benghazi. They are spinning up as we speak.”
The email came in the early stages of the assault on Sept. 11, 2012, after the first wave off the attack but before mortar fire killed former Navy SEALs Ty Woods and Glen Doherty. In other words, had the forces been given the go-ahead, they likely could have made it to the diplomatic compound in time to save American lives.
“This leaves no doubt military assets were offered and ready to go, and awaiting State Department signoff, which did not come,” Judicial Watch said in a statement.
This troubling revelation about the incident proves that both the Obama administration and Hillary Clinton lied to the American people about the attack and how they responded to it. Additionally, it also shows that while Americans were under attack, Hillary was more concerned with the optics of it all to do anything about saving them.
Suffice it to say, she ended up blaming an Internet video as the cause, again lying directly to the public.
Someone with a proven history of lies, deceit and dishonesty has no business running for the highest office in our country. In fact, such actions should be considered as criminal and punished accordingly, but as we already saw with the FBI investigation into her private server, that’s not likely to happen any time soon.
