The former deputy assistant secretary of defense for the Obama administration appeared on MSNBC yesterday and made a stunning admission about her former employer.
For weeks, the media and Democrats alike have come down hard on President Trump for his allegations that he was “wiretapped” by Barack Obama, claiming he had no evidence such things took place. However, Evelyn Farkas is telling an entirely different story, and she would know a thing or two about it being a part of Obama’s cabinet.
The Conservative Treehouse reported that Farkas was speaking with host Mika Brzezinski about the Obama administration’s frantic effort to “get as much intelligence” as they could about the Trump transition team before they were kicked out of the White House.
The reason? They wanted to disseminate the classified information to as many Democrats on Capitol Hill as they possibly could, ostensibly to undermine the incoming president.
Check it out:
I was urging my former colleagues, and, and frankly speaking the people on the Hill [Democrat politicians], it was more actually aimed at telling the Hill people, get as much information as you can – get as much intelligence as you can – before President Obama leaves the administration.
Because I had a fear that somehow that information would disappear with the senior [Obama] people who left; so it would be hidden away in the bureaucracy, um, that the Trump folks – if they found out HOW we knew what we knew about their, the Trump staff, dealing with Russians – that they would try to compromise those sources and methods; meaning we no longer have access to that intelligence.
So I became very worried because not enough was coming out into the open and I knew that there was more. We have very good intelligence on Russia; so then I had talked to some of my former colleagues and I knew that they were also trying to help get information to [Democrat politicians].
If you noticed, even Brzezinski caught what Farkas was saying and tried to downplay it, but the cat was already out of the bag at that point – the former Obama official admitted on live television that the Trump team was under surveillance. Something else to keep in mind is that the Gateway Pundit reported that Farkas served as an advisor to Hillary Clinton throughout her campaign, and she’s also a senior fellow for the Atlantic Council, an organization that’s been among the loudest voices calling for a new Cold War with Russia.
Additionally, the founder and CTO of Crowdstrike, Dimitri Alperovitch, is also a senior fellow for the group. If you remember, Crowdstrike is the original organization to claim it had evidence of the Trump campaign colluding with Russia – evidence they’ve since walked back.
Are you starting to connect the cots yet?
House Intelligence Chair Devin Nunes said last week that he has information he believes is “troubling” regarding the Obama administration’s efforts to spy on the incoming president. With this stunning revelation from Farkas, there’s little reason to believe he wasn’t telling the truth.
Now it’s up to Nunes to deliver the information he has to the Justice Department so heads can begin to roll. Spying on the duly elected president isn’t only an egregious abuse of government power, it borderlines treason and sedition, and should be punished accordingly.
