Texas Sen. Ted Cruz may have come up with the perfect plan for building the wall along the U.S.-Mexican border with a bill he introduced to the Senate, and people absolutely love who he wants to pay for it.
While the President has promised that Mexico would fund the wall, Cruz has a different plan, although a Mexican would still be funding it. Using the clever name, Ensuring Lawful Collection of Hidden Assets to Provide Order (El CHAPO), Cruz seeks to redirect the $14 billion seized from the drug lord to fund, in part, our Southern border wall.

From BizPac Review:
“Fourteen billion dollars will go a long way toward building a wall that will keep Americans safe and hinder the illegal flow of drugs, weapons, and individuals across our southern border,” Cruz said. “Ensuring the safety and security of Texans is one of my top priorities. We must also be mindful of the impact on the federal budget.”
Cruz’s bill argues that repurposing the criminally forfeited assets from El Chapo and other Mexican cartels would “offset the wall’s cost and make meaningful progress toward achieving President Trump’s stated border security objectives.”
“The U.S. Government is currently seeking the criminal forfeiture of more than $14 billion in drug proceeds and illicit profits from El Chapo, the former leader of the Sinaloa drug cartel who was recently extradited to the U.S. to face criminal prosecution for numerous alleged drug-related crimes, including conspiracy to commit murder and money laundering,” Cruz added.

So what do you think, brilliant?
Of course it is. Where else would the money go otherwise? This way, the majority of the wall would be built from money that was made by poisoning our society and abusing our lax border security. There couldn’t possibly be a better way to fund the wall, save for raiding every other drug lord’s compound and taking all of their assets too.
