A time capsule found buried deep in an Australian home made a dire prediction about the Islamic faith, and it turned out to be spot on.
A contractor by the name of Sash Ilic was renovating a Sydney home when he discovered a letter sealed in plastic from the home’s previous owner in April of 1995. At the time, Greg Wilkinson was renovating them home himself when he decided it would be fun to write down some predictions about the future, but who knew that he’d be almost psychic in his predictions about the ideology plaguing the world right now.
The Daily Mail reported that Wilkinson, who was 45 at the time he penned the letter, wrote “This letter was put into this stud wall on Easter Saturday, 15th April, 1995,” before adding, “It is pissing down and so a good day to be renovating.”
He then went on to list details of current life in Australia, before predicting that Islam would be the cause of the next “holy war.”
His time capsule letter was written six years before the September 11 terrorist attacks in 2001, which would spark a 15 year U.S. military campaign in Afghanistan and lead to regular terrorist attacks in the West.
‘Islam will become the next ideological problem sparking an equal and opposite reaction plunging large parts of the globe in a ridiculous ‘holy war’,’ he wrote.
‘Factions within either doctrine will also suffer this holier than thou attitude and this war will go on for a very long time.’
Isn’t that interesting? Although to be fair, anyone paying attention to Islam who’s willing to think about it objectively would probably come up with a similar prediction. Regardless, he was spot on; just look at all of the problems being caused ever since 9/11.
