Anyone who watched the Academy Awards this year saw a bunch of self-righteous liberals get on stage and champion their favorite causes, and the majority of us wanted to throw up in our mouths. Apparently, comedienne Tina Fey did too, and during a radio appearance after she dropped a massive truth bomb about the awards show that her leftist friends in Hollywood are going to hate.
Fey went on the Howard Stern radio show on Tuesday to express her disgust with the ultra-liberal suckfest that included pleas for change ranging from corporate greed to climate change, and for once we can all agree with her.
“Like halfway through I was like, ‘This is some real Hollywood bulls**t,’” Fey said. “Everyone’s telling me what to do. People are yelling at me about rape and corporate greed, but really, it’s climate change. I was like, ‘Guys, pick a lane.’”
Hard to disagree there. But Fey didn’t stop with simply criticizing the overload of activism on display.
“It’s like, we’re going to fix everything tonight. And also, you’re all rich,” Fey continued. “Why are you yelling at me about corporate greed? You’re all so rich.”
Apparently Fey also sees the massive hypocrisy emanating from the entertainment elite, and she’s not a fan of it. Although unfortunately, one Hollywood hypocrite she refused to condemn was the biggest of them all – Leonardo DiCaprio, who gave a seemingly endless sermon on climate change before jet-setting to the ocean to get aboard his superyacht and party with models.
“I always am psyched when someone can articulate those things because, let’s face it, actors are very stupid,” Fey said of DiCaprio. “But he’s so smart, and his speech was so cogent.”
So “smart,” huh? Check out where he was recently spotted:

Think that yacht is a hybrid? Perhaps old Leo should lead through example if he’s so concerned about climate change… don’t you think? But I digress.
It’s not often we can agree with Fey, but in this case she’s right. The people screaming loudest about inequity and injustice are those enjoying the fruits of the very system where inequity and injustice are essential to encourage others to thrive above the rest – capitalism.
