President Trump isn’t too happy with Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell, who said yesterday that he has “excessive expectations” from Congress.
During an event at the Kentucky Rotary Club, McConnell said that the President’s “excessive expectations” are harming Congress’ ability to get things done, which he finds “extremely irritating,” ABC News reported.
“Part of the reason I think that the storyline is that we haven’t done much is because, in part, the president and others have set these early timelines about things need to be done by a certain point,” said McConnell, who went on to lament the “democratic process” is what takes so long to get legislation done.
“Our new president, of course, has not been in this line of work before. And I think he had excessive expectations about how quickly things happen in the democratic process,” McConnell told the group. “So part of the reason I think people feel we’re underperforming is because too many artificial deadlines — unrelated to the reality of the complexity of legislating — may not have been fully understood.”
The only problem is the GOP has had seven years to figure out a replacement for Obamacare, and the GOP ran, and won, on repealing the disastrous legislation forced on us by the Democrats that caused a whopping 6.5 million people to pay a penalty because they couldn’t afford health insurance.
So this afternoon, President Trump lashed out on McConnell through his favorite medium – Twitter – and he didn’t hold back.
Senator Mitch McConnell said I had "excessive expectations," but I don't think so. After 7 years of hearing Repeal & Replace, why not done?

“Senator Mitch McConnell said I had “excessive expectations,” but I don’t think so. After 7 years of hearing Repeal & Replace, why not done?” wrote the President.
President Trump wants to deliver excellence for the American people, not work at a half-ass pace like Congress does

They voted 54 times to repeal! I guess 55 is excessive!

It's better than having low expectations. There is no excuse for Republicans to not get this done!!

You get the idea, people aren’t happy about this, and they shouldn’t be. After seven years, there’s no excuse to not pass a repeal, and there’s really no excuse to have only placed two major pieces of legislation on the President’s desk, one of which hamstrung him when it comes to the Russians, which says everything we need to know about these GOP traitors.
