President Trump’s new chief of staff must not have an issue with the President’s Twitter account, as he continues to use it to pound the opposition party and media alike.

On Monday morning, the President took to his favorite medium to blast Democrat Sen. Richard Blumenthal with both barrels, and it was absolutely savage. Trump’s comments came after Blumenthal appeared on CNN to criticize him over concerns he’s politicizing the Justice Department, causing the President to lash out to his millions of social media followers.

“I’m very concerned that the Department of Justice is weaponizing these laws for its personal and political ends, and specifically for the White House’s purposes,” Blumenthal said, according to the Washington Examiner.

“That’s a chilling effect on the press and on whistleblowers, and on information that doesn’t involve classified data or disclosures, but in fact maybe just embarrassing or unwelcome,” he added.

That was enough to send President Trump into a tweeting fury, attacking Blumenthal over lying about serving in Vietnam.

“Interesting to watch Senator Richard Blumenthal of Connecticut talking about hoax Russian collusion when he was a phony Vietnam con artist!”

“Never in U.S.history has anyone lied or defrauded voters like Senator Richard Blumenthal. He told stories about his Vietnam battles and….

“…conquests, how brave he was, and it was all a lie. He cried like a baby and begged for forgiveness like a child. Now he judges collusion?”

This isn’t the first time that the President lashed out against Blumenthal. In May, he made similar criticisms of the Connecticut Senator after Blumenthal had attacked him.

“When caught, he cried like a baby and begged for forgiveness… and now he is judge & jury,” Trump said in May. “He should be the one who is investigated for his acts.”
