MSNBC has a loose relationship with the truth, and it showed when anchor Katie Tur pushed a blatant lie about the Afghan girls robotics team President Trump helped get into the country.
The team of girls was trying to come to the country to compete in a robotics competition, but their visas were denied twice before President Trump stepped in and made sure they could enter America. The reason their visas were denied had nothing at all to do with the President’s travel ban, but that didn’t stop Tur from trying to blame it anyway, the Daily Caller reported.

“Among the teams [at the competition] are six girls from Afghanistan, who nearly didn’t make it after their visa applications were denied not once, but twice,” Tur stated during her show Monday before adding, “The travel ban, after all.”
There’s just one problem with Tur’s assertion, and it’s a major one – Afghanistan isn’t on the list of countries that the travel ban covers. No, those countries are Syria, Iran, Yemen, Somalia, Sudan, and Libya, which is well-known throughout the entire political and media world, yet that didn’t stop Tur from perpetuating this falsehood to her viewers.
Meanwhile, Tur and other leftist activists masquerading as journalists express indignation whenever someone accuses them of peddling fake news.
Perhaps instead of getting mad at people calling her out for being wrong, she should try getting her facts straight.
