The media and establishment parties have officially declared war on Donald Trump in a last ditch effort to keep him out of the White House.
As it was becoming more likely that Trump could actually win in November, it seemed as if all at once the GOP establishment, the media and top Republicans from around the country all turned on him at once in an attempt to destroy his support, but it doesn’t seem to be working. In fact, his poll numbers have been steadily rising since the last debate, and now we’re learning that he’s set a record for a GOP candidate that’s sure to make his opposition in the party think twice before lashing out at him again.
According to Lifezette, the billionaire has taken in a total of $360 million this election cycle, and while it’s less than the $480 million raised by Mitt Romney, it’s who made the donations that matters.
Check it out:
The Donald J. Trump Campaign for President announced Saturday in a statement that it has hauled in a a total of $360 million from a record-breaking 2.6 million individual donors.
The millions of individual people who have contributed to Trump’s presidential bid throughout the election season total the largest donor pool of any other Republican candidate in history, the campaign claimed — despite the fact the total amount raised by Trump still trails the $480 million raised and spent by 2012 GOP nominee Mitt Romney. Most of those contributions came from small donors.
“These numbers show that Donald Trump continues to have incredible broad based support from across America,” Steven Munchin, Donald J. Trump for President finance chairman, said in the statement. “We want to thank our many volunteers and contributors that are clearly committed to electing Donald J. Trump as President in November.”
So while Trump may be having issues with some big-money donors in bed with the establishment, it’s evident that he’s not having any issues with the donors that matter – We the People – of which this reporter is proudly one of them.
From the start, Trump has promised the American people that he’s not for sale to the highest bidder, unlike his opponent, Hillary Clinton, and with the majority of his donations coming from hard-working Americans, he won’t be beholden to anybody except us, which is exactly what this nation needs. It’s long past time we get someone in the White House that puts the interests of America and her people of the interests of their largest donors.
Maybe then we can finally start undoing the insurmountable damage done by the Clinton Democrats.
